Getting Started Grant
Up to $5000.
If you’re in the early stages of R&D, the Getting Started Grant could give you a kick-start to take your product, process or service solution from development to commercialisation. Designed to help you navigate through common R&D roadblocks, from troubleshooting through to project planning, prototyping through to Intellectual Property strategies, the grant supports businesses to access technical expertise to take you in the right direction.
The Project Grant is designed to help you build or expand your R&D expertise by giving your business an opportunity to push the boundaries and uncover new scientific or technical knowledge. Break new ground in an R&D project for the development of new or substantially improved devices, products, processes, systems or services. It will allow you to develop your business into a stable and substantial R&D performer, by growing your investment in R&D.
Max $5m per year.
If your business is an experienced R&D performer, you may be able to access the three-year Growth Grant to increase your R&D investment. The grant is designed to help you add scale to your R&D investment for greater market impact, continue to grow your investment in R&D for maximum return, and to be flexible in adapting where you want to take your R&D programme, outside the constraints of traditional R&D grant criteria.
Student 'Experience' Grant
The Student ‘Experience’ Grant is designed to allow businesses to bring smart, enthusiastic and fresh thinking into their R&D activities, and to allow undergraduates to gain work experience, through financing a mutually-beneficial summer break internship.
Student 'Career' Grant
The Student ‘Career’ Grant is an internship designed to bridge the costs of the first six months of employment, allowing businesses to add a PhD or Masters graduate to their team to stimulate innovation. The graduate is expected to support the business in solving an R&D problem in the development of a new product, process or service.
Student 'Fellowship' Grant
If you have a challenging R&D problem to solve, the Student ‘Fellowship’ Grant may help you along the way. Designed to provide businesses with advanced research at PhD or masters level, you’ll get access to the latest thinking and knowledge through the students completion of research into your specific problem.
