‘We had no money so we had to think,’ said Lord Rutherford, one of the most illustrious world scientists of all time and the region’s most famous son. And therein lies the story of Nelson Tasman business.
Once an isolated region with land that was neither fertile nor flat, our entrepreneurs relied on their wits and grit to survive. The outcome today is a clever business economy, with entrepreneurs such as Pic’s Peanut Butter, Core Transport Technologies and Sea Dragon transforming from small start-ups to leaders on the world stage. And you could be next…
Starting a new business is both an exciting and nerve wracking experience, and it’s important to make sure that your approach to business is clever right from the very beginning.
That’s where we come in. Our Regional Business Advisor, Mark Maguire, is on hand to connect you with key services, support, financial assistance, and networks to ensure that you have the best platform from which to begin your new business journey.
He can assess your business needs, help you to plan your next steps, introduce you to a clever business network, facilitate government funding and services on behalf of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and Callaghan Innovation, and find events, programmes and other opportunities that will assist you on your extraordinary new business venture.
He provides these services with the help of the Regional Business Partner Network, a network of organisations dedicated to helping New Zealand businesses start and grow.
