Business support services

Working at sublime brew bar

We provide help to local businesses making big moves, because thriving local businesses empower our communities.

At the centre of our business support ecosystem is the Regional Business Partner (RBP) Network; a Government funded programme aimed at supporting SMEs in their growth journey. NRDA are responsible for the delivery of the Regional Business Partner programme as the contracted Regional Business Partner for MBIE and Callaghan Innovation across Te Tauihu o Te Waka-a-Māui.

Let us help your business to grow

We help local businesses to grow by accessing a range of Government funded business support including funding, independent advice, tools, information & resources, as well as connections across our local and national business ecosystem. In the last three years, NRDA has supported over 2,500 local businesses.

We work closely with the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce and the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce who assist us in creating a network to provide information & resources, independent advice, funding and connections to local businesses seeking support in their growth journey.

To arrange a meeting:

  1. Register your business via the RBP website
  2. Your RBP registration will come to us. Then, one of our local Advisors will initiate contact with you to arrange a follow up meeting / discovery session.
  3. After your discovery session, our Advisor will come back to you with an action plan which is aligned to your business goals. This can include a mix of things such as funding, independent advice, tools & resources, connections, R&D support, and commercialisation support.
  4. Our Advisor will be your new business champion and we will regularly check-in with you to ensure you are making progress.
