From here, you could explore Farewell Spit, Wharariki beach, nearby hilltops on DOC farm park, more serious tramping in Kahurangi national park or leisurely stroll on the beach and gather cockles at low tide. A 10-minute walk will take you to the local cafe and restaurant to enjoy a glass of wine overlooking Farewell Spit.
