The session will share four inspiring stories from pioneers of the Conservation Movement who lived in Whakatū Nelson.

Speakers & Topics:

Craig Potton on Whales and ocean conservation.
Dr John Moore on Lakes Manapouri and Te Anau, the battle for the National Park.
Dr Gwen Struik & Margot Syms on the work of Friends of Nelson Haven and Tasman Bay
Bruce Thomas on the Battle for Breaksea Island.

The stories talk about how the collective community passion of individuals working together has achieved outstanding results for the natural environment and people.

Doors open at 6pm for a 7.30pm start after please stay for a Cupa and Biscuit
