Age Positive: Thread Therapy - The Art of Japanese Stitching

Join us for an introduction to ‘The Art of Japanese Stitching’ - sashiko and make a card or small place mat.

Sashiko is a traditional form of Japanese hand sewing that uses running stitches to create repeating over-all patterns. It is a technique that is easy to learn and produces beautiful results. Marian Painter will be facilitating this workshop as part of our 'Age Positive' series.

Sashiko has regained popularity in recent years due to the striking simplicity of the designs and ease of stitching. This makes it a technique that can be learned by anyone, no matter their skill level.

Participants need to be able to thread a needle. Materials provided.
