Nestled in the Moutere hills near Nelson, Flaxmore's gentle north-facing slopes are perfectly suited to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. The vineyard overlooks the Moutere valley with fabulous views of the majestic Kahurangi Ranges beyond.

Planted in 2008, this family vineyard has an absolute focus on vineyard quality, launching the Flaxmore label in 2018 with wines crafted from low-yielding, hand-picked vines.

The combination of clay-gravels, climate and attention to detail has resulted in fine, balanced wines which fully express the vineyard's special character: elegant fruit notes with some restraint on the palate.

You are welcome to visit our tasting room, which overlooks the vineyard. Here, you will have the chance to meet us, taste our wines, talk about the vineyard and winemaking and even have a beautiful walk around the vineyard, taking in the stunning views across the Moutere valley to the Kahurangi mountain ranges beyond.

We have recently developed an art gallery, which you can enjoy at your leisure, with a range of art from local and NZ artists, encompassing photography, painting and sculpture. A permanent art collection is also on display.
