The Tinline Bay tree has earnt the nickname #notthatwanakatree with the locals and is essentially just a bizarre tree growing in an unusual place.

Located approximately 3km from the entrance to the park near Marahau, the tree stands proudly atop a granite rock, adorning the golden landscape in a picture perfect spot.

How to get there: Tinline Bay and its iconic tree is accessible via the Abel Tasman Coast Track, an easy stroll just 45 minutes from the Harvey Road carpark.
