A 3 day 2 night cycle along scenic wetlands, stunning coastlines and through the rolling hills of the Moutere Wine Country finishing up at beautiful Kaiteriteri, gateway to the adventure playground of the Abel Tasman National Park.

Day one of this self-guided tour takes you from Nelson to Mapua on the Great Taste Trail and is about lots of experiences during your leisurely 26 km cycle. On the way visit medal winning wineries, cafes , swim at white sand beaches, enjoy real berry fruit ice-creams, visit a glassblowing studio, sample local cheese & be blown away by the beautiful coastal wetlands along the route. Stay 2 nights at a B&B in Mapua. Day 2 you will explore the tastes & culture of the Moutere wine country - wine-tastings, fruit stands and honesty boxes, lunch at a vineyard cafe or New Zealand's oldest pub. Day 3 Cycle the scenic coastal route on the Great Taste Trail to Kaiteriteri, enjoy a refreshing swim before we pick you up & transport you back to Nelson.

Cancellation Policy

Nelson Cycle Hire reserves the right to charge a one-off administration/cancellation fee of $50. 61 plus days – 100% of tour sum less $50 administration fee 31-60 days – 75% of tour sum (or $50 administration fee whichever is the greater) 14-30 days – 50% of tour sum 0-14 days – tours of 2 days or more, no refund 0-14 days – one day tours are transferrable or subject to 50% refund Cycle hire bookings are fully transferable without penalty.
