Getting here is easy

Whichever way you travel, getting to Nelson is all part of the adventure. Fly straight into Nelson Airport and you’re just 15 minutes from the city centre. Catch the ferry from Wellington to Picton and enjoy one of the most scenic drives in the country through vineyards and rolling hills. Or take the road less travelled and head over the Lewis Pass or around via Kaikōura, with plenty of spots to stop and stretch your legs along the way. No matter how you arrive, you’ll be welcomed with sunshine, stunning views, and that laid-back Nelson vibe.

It is one of New Zealand's most memorable one-day adventures for fit mountain bikers. It follows the path of New Zealand’s first railway route, making it one of the country’s most accessible alpine rides.

Glenduan Beach

Glenduan, or The Glen as locals say, is a pebble beach that links the Boulder Bank to Mackay Bluff. It’s the gateway to an 8 km coastal trail packed with stunning views and rich biodiversity.
