The Nelson A&P Show brings the best of the country to the heart of the city with a weekend full of animals, entertainment, competitions and good times for the whole whānau.
Held at Richmond Showgrounds, the event features everything from sheep shearing and equestrian events to petting zoos, woodchopping, and classic carnival rides. There’s a full programme of livestock judging, produce competitions, and exhibitions, showcasing the skills and dedication of our region’s farmers, growers and makers.
Kids will love the rides, hands-on activities and live shows, while grown-ups can explore food trucks, craft stalls, local goods and homegrown entertainment on stage throughout the day. Whether you’re into vintage machinery, show ponies, or just here for a dagwood dog and a wander—it’s all happening at the Nelson A&P Show.
