Come along to Wakefield Community Yoga, each Monday evening in the Wakefield School Hall.
We practice a slow flow style, with some flowing movement to get warm followed by deep, relaxing stretching. Every class is designed to help students reconnect with their body in a safe and mindful way, connecting with our breath and body to calm the mind. This yoga class helps people of all abilities find some stillness and stretch in an approachable way.
Accessible for all levels, with plenty of variations provided for those who want to challenge themselves further as well as those who might have injuries or limitations. Suitable for those new to yoga also.
Jess is a relaxed, approachable teacher - un interested in how things look and passionate about helping students safely and strongly connect with their own bodies. She has 250hr Yoga Teaching Certification and has been teaching community classes for the last couple of years. Jess came to yoga with a busy mind and a back injury, so is focused on ensuring students use correct muscle engagement, but don't take any of it too seriously.
The group is relaxed and fun! Some mats can be provided with prior request, but otherwise bring a mat if you have one and wear some comfy clothes. Koha donation or $10 per class, bring cash if possible, if this is unaccessible please come regardless! We'd love to have you.
