The big day out for the teddy bears is here, and this years’ theme is Caring for Our Bears!
Give some TLC to your soft toy or bear by taking it to the Bear Spa, where they can get a massage! Or to the First Aid Tent to Dr Bear and Nurse Bear to get a check-up!
There is lots to enjoy on the day with your bear! Learn you’re A,B,C with Teddy School, face painting and balloon creations with Flossie (gold coin koha), Hunt for Bugs with Brook Waimarama Sanctuary and refresh yourself with Street Food’s food and beverages.
There will be plenty of excitement on the live stage; dance together to 3 time APRA Children’s Song of the Year winner Levity Beet, who is headlining the event with his heartfelt and hilarious music for tamariki and their whānau, Akiko will perform the all-time favourite, The 3 Little Pigs, the beautiful sounds of the harp with Ruby, and laugh along to the shenanigans from librarians from Nelson Public Libraries’, all whilst enjoying your whānau picnic in the wonderful Isel Park.
Bring a picnic, hat and sunscreen. Please plan to take your rubbish home.
