Celebrate Conservation Week 2025 with “Pest Free Onetahua” - come and learn about this important local pest eradication project.

“Pest Free Onetahua” is an ecological project that is of international significance spanning 12,000ha of unique landscapes and wildlife habitat from the iconic tip of Onetahua/Farewell Spit to the edge of Whanganui Inlet.

“Pest Free Onetahua” is part of a growing nationwide movement to remove pests. This project will return nature to Onetahua and create a safe haven for endangered bird species.
