Back to the Roots returns to East St. for another night of nostalgia driven drum and bass and jungle, this time with a headline act who has been prolific in the scene since the 90's.
The one and only Downtown Brown (one half of the Sunshine Soundsystem), who has been shaking the foundations of clubs and landscapes across Aotearoa and abroad, comes to Nelson to celebrate his many decades of spinning the slickest dnb, jungle and dancehall cuts!
Si, aka Downtown Brown, has steadfastly refused to get a real job since he first fell in love with spinning records way way back in ’94. This glorious state of underemployment has facilitated greenroom shenanigans from Barcelona to Brixton, tearing up Fabric and chewing at Sandwiches.
Performing this set solo, without his ever deadly MC KPz, Downtown has compiled a deadly fusillade of fresh junglistic fyah, intended to delight soundbwoys and ignite the dance floor.
