Kindled from the passion of local people in the early 1970s, Founders Heritage Park began as a simple idea: to preserve and protect treasured heritage items. When the Park opened more than a decade later in 1986, through countless volunteer hours and community effort, a rubbish wasteland in Nelson had been transformed into a remarkable heritage environment.
