Using Techniques that date back 3500 years, we will use flame working to melt and manipulate molten glass into Beads and pendants.

Course is suitable for beginners or first timers, no previous experience required

All tools and materials provided
All going well, you should be able to take home 10 beads or pendants
All glass needs to be annealed- slowly cooled down overnight and available for collection the following day. if your not able to collect i will send what you have made to you.

What you do is use a bench burner to melt glass into a stainless steel mandrel with a clay release and build up glass in to you bead or pendant.

using glass rods or stringers to make lines, dots or drawings and melting all up, is where the magic happens to make your object

Course is limited to a maximum of 3 people and will be held at the Flamdaisy glass Studio opposite the cathedral gardens in the heart of Nelson city
