MD Outdoors is a locally owned and operated outdoor store in the heart of Nelson/Tasman and the top of the south. We have our flagship shop in Nelson and our second store out in Wakefield. Emily (the owner) and her partner Jesse live in Wakefield and absolutely love it out there, being super close to the Nelson Lakes National Park.

Our store on Whitby Way (outside the Villa Cafe) is your one-stop shop for high-quality outdoor sports equipment and clothing. Run by Jesse and Rosie (Emily's sister), our team are always out in the mountains, hiking, running, camping, you name it. We are always here for a yarn about the outdoors, to help you work out what you need for your adventures or for cuddles from Beau the dog.

MD is more than just a place to buy gear; it’s a hub for our community to support each other and share stories. We host monthly events and social nights and frequently run competitions and giveaways.
