Tāwera is also home to the Hiwa team, Nelson’s agency for arts advocacy including connecting artists with funding through the Nelson City Creative Communities schemes, supporting and delivering community arts projects, and championing our creative sector
Hiwa currently has four flagship events: Nelson Clay Week, Nelson Jewellery Week, Changing Threads, and Make It Nelson.
