TUKU26 Whakatū aims to tuku (share) stories of people and place from across the region.
Tuku 24 event provided an insight/introduction to the Māori martial art Mau Rākau and the school of Māori weaponry, Te Whare Tū Taua o Whakatū.
Attendees had a chance to try the martial arts themselves and watch some of the pou (elders) train through their curriculum and mahi.
