In this Disney animated film, we follow the journey of the lion cub Simba as he prepares to succeed his father, Mufasa. Simba's wicked uncle, Scar, plots to usurp Mufasa's throne by luring both father and son into a deadly trap; however, while Simba escapes, Mufasa is killed. Simba eventually returns as an adult to reclaim his kingdom from Scar with the help of his friends, Timon and Pumbaa.
