The Great Songbook Singalong — Jason Kerrison
SUPPORTED BY The Jason McIver Collective (solo)
Friday 11 September 2026
Room Twenty5, Richmond, Nelson
Tickets: $45
Nelson, I’m trying something brand new.
On September 11 at Room Twenty5, I’m launching the very first Great Songbook Singalong.
It’ll still be a Jason Kerrison show. I’ll be playing my own songs, telling a few stories and taking you through some of the music that’s been part of my life.
But this time, you get a say in what happens.
On the night, you’ll be able to scan a QR code from your phone and open our interactive songbook. From there you can request songs you’d like me to play, dedicate a song to someone, add a message or story to your dedication, and help shape the setlist as the night unfolds.
The lyrics will be available on your phone too, so when the right song comes up, the whole room can sing along.
There isn’t really a fixed show.
We build the show together.
This first show is an experiment. It might be beautiful. It might be chaotic. There will almost certainly be songs I haven’t played in years.
That’s kind of the point.
A Special Night for Geoff and Sheree Sherlock
There’s another part of this evening that’s especially important to me.
Room Twenty5 exists because of Geoff and Sheree Sherlock, who have poured an enormous amount of their own time, energy, love and resources into creating a place where musicians can perform and audiences can experience live music up close.
Room Twenty5 has become an important thread in the fabric of the local and national music community, and much of that comes down to Geoff and Sheree’s generosity and passion for live music.
So for this first Great Songbook Singalong, I thought it was time we gave something back.
Guests will have the option to make contributions when requesting or dedicating songs through the interactive songbook, and every contribution raised through those requests and dedications on the night will go to Geoff and Sheree.
They didn’t know about this when the show was announced.
Surprise, Geoff and Sheree.
