The Great Founders Skeleton Hunt – A Magical Halloween Adventure!

Something spooky (but not too spooky!) is happening at Founders Heritage Park this Halloween!

Our friendly skeletons have taken over the Park and are acting out scenes from famous fairy tales, nursery rhymes and children's stories. But there's a twist – it's up to you to work out which stories they're telling!

Bring your little detectives along for a fun-filled Halloween scavenger hunt through the historic village. With 12 skeleton scenes hidden around the Park, there's plenty to discover as you explore the heritage buildings and grounds.

How does it work?

Start your adventure by collecting a Skeleton Hunt map from the Windmill at the Park entrance. Follow the map to discover 12 skeleton scenes, each representing a well-known story, fairy tale or character.
Look carefully at each scene, work out which story is being told and write your answer on your map. Can you solve all 12 mysteries?
A Halloween adventure for the whole family

This is a fun, light-hearted activity designed especially for children aged 12 and under. There are no scary surprises, no competition and no time limits. Just explore, use your imagination and enjoy the adventure at your own pace.

Whether you're planning a family outing, an after-school adventure or something special for Halloween, it's a great excuse to get the kids outdoors and explore one of Nelson's favourite attractions.

Halloween costumes are welcome, so feel free to dress up as your favourite spooky character!
