Sprig + Fern 10k Run & Walk Brightwater - 22 August 2026

This fun run and walk at Brightwater and through the surrounding countryside is the third of four Waimea Harriers Sprig+Fern 10km events in the Nelson Tasman area.

Meet on the Village Green at the corner of Starveall & Ellis Streets in Brightwater.

Check-In opens at 1.20pm and closes promptly at 2pm.

Casual walkers (expecting to take more than 90 minutes to finish): Start at 1:45pm. Briefing at start line.

Walkers and slower runners (expect to finish in 70 - 90 minutes): Start 2:10pm.
Runners (expect to finish in under 70 minutes): Start 2:30pm.

Walkers & Runners Briefing: 2:00pm.

Can’t run 10km right now, but still want to run or walk? Find a friend and do it as a 2-person relay - each doing about 5km. Please raise this at Check-In. Relay participants are responsible for getting themselves to and from the half way point.

This event is free for school children, youth students and members of Waimea Harriers. $10 for others - pay at check-in.

Everyone and all abilities are welcome. Enjoy a drink, spot prizes and time together after the event at the Brightwater Sprig + Fern on Ellis Street.
