Ever wondered how a saree is draped, what different fabrics feel like, or why sarees can be so different across India?
Come and experience Saree Stories, an interactive cultural session where you can get closer to the saree and the stories behind it.
This is more than just looking at a display. You can:
• Watch a live saree draping demonstration
• See, touch and explore different sarees and fabrics up close
• Ask questions and join the conversation
• Try on a saree and experience it for yourself
• Learn about the craftsmanship, traditions and stories behind the saree
The session is being held alongside the Museum’s Saree Exhibition, giving you an opportunity to add a more personal and hands-on experience to your visit.
