Nelson City Council presents the Teddy Bears Picnic 2027

Nelson City Council presents Teddy Bears' Picnic 2027

FREE Family Event

Pack up your picnic basket, grab your favourite teddy, and join us for a fun-filled summer tradition at the iconic Teddy Bears' Picnic.

Enjoy live entertainment from community performance groups from across Whakatū Nelson, with special guest Kath Bee performing favourite songs that will have both children and their bears singing and dancing along. There will be plenty of interactive activities, creative play opportunities, and family fun throughout the day.

Visit the Teddy Bear Hospital, where dedicated bear doctors and nurses can care for any well-loved teddy in need of attention. Test your teddy's knowledge with some old-school ABC learning, and don't forget to dress your bear in their best summer outfit for the chance to win a prize.

Bring your whānau, your picnic, and your favourite bear for a memorable day of music, activities, and summer fun.
