Make It Nelson 2027

Make It Nelson is your chance to pick up a new skill, create something truly one-of-a-kind, and make genuine connections.

In June 2027, we’re bringing together the finest makers, artists, and creators in Whakatū to present a diverse programme of hands-on workshops.

From crafting your own coffee mug, leather pouch or silver ring, to making your own zines or carving a spoon, Make It Nelson invites you to nurture your creative spark. Most workshops are stand-alone sessions – you’ll make something from go-to-whoa within three hours!

It’s about slowing down, working with your hands, and heading home with something truly unique. Pick one workshop, stack a few across a weekend, or keep the creativity rolling all month long.
