This practical hands-on course draws upon participants' experiences to focus on the critical competencies required for excellent management.

Participants learn how to transition from 'doing the work' to leading and managing a team.

It puts a strong emphasis on helping participants understand themselves and those they manage better. By gaining a deeper understanding of their own and others' behaviour, communication styles, and what works when creating dynamic, productive teams, participants will be better equipped to lead and manage their team effectively.

• Establish your current strengths & abilities and acknowledge + tackle your weak points

• Gain heightened awareness of your thoughts and responses – Emotional Intelligence

• Apply effective communication to different situations, esp. providing FEEDBACK

• Build robust work relationships based on trust and respect with clear boundaries

• Resolve conflict calmly

• Perfect your interaction tool box

• Distinguish between different types of management style.

• Understand ways in which one’s behaviours and attitudes influence others.

• Identify factors salient to building productive teams.

• Apply communication soft skills to resolve conflict.

• Understand techniques for motivating others.

With a background in sales and communication as trainer for the Banking Academy in Cologne, Germany and roles in both operational and people management, Angelika has maintained her focus on empowering people through highly engaging experiential workshops and 1:1 coaching.
