Led by Tā Tīmoti Kāretu, alongside Dr Jeremy Tātere MacLeod, Te Rina MacLeod, and Hinewai Anahera-Linoyce Netana-Williams, this wānanga offers a rich, grounded learning experience through:
Marae-based learning – learning in the spaces where these practices belong
Practical oratory – hands-on whaikōrero and karanga
Tailored sessions – suitable for both beginners and fluent speakers
Guidance from experts – with space for more personal support
Cultural depth – strengthening your understanding of kawa, tikanga, and te ao Māori
This wānanga is open to everyone. It will be delivered predominantly in te reo Māori at Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Tuia Te Matangi, with regular breakout sessions where English is welcome.
