Janine Mitchell is a singer songwriter who performs heartfelt songs, both originals and covers, in the 60's/70's era folk tradition. With her guitar accompaniment and fine lyrical vocals, she sings and writes from the heart crossing the borders of social, personal and environmental territories.

The Haewai Collective came into being after the musicians - Jack Binding (lead guitar, vocals), Pete Lamb (percussion, vocals) and Kevin Ikin (mandolin, harmonica, vocals) - got together to back Janine on her album Etched in my Soul . They have stayed together, playing gigs around Wellington and further afield with a stable of original songs and covers. This current tour takes in Nelson, Mapua, Motueka and Golden Bay.
