Join us on Saturday 5th September for the iconic Dovedale Hill Race – a classic local 11km run or walk up Pigeon Valley Road from Wakefield to the top of Dovedale Hill. This much-loved event has been a highlight of the local running calendar for five decades.

This event is free for everyone - members, non-members, walkers runners, seniors, juniors and those in between!

Registration: 1:15pm in the "Whitby" car park in the middle of Wakefield.

Wave start times:
1:45pm: Casual Walkers.
2:00pm: Fast Walkers & Slower Runners (those who take more than 34mins for a flat 5km).
2:15pm: Most Runners.
2:30pm: Fastest Runners (those who do a flat 5km in under 22mins).
2:45pm: 5km Juniors - at the halfway water station.

This is a one way course with participants jogging back down Pigeon Valley Rd, or carpooling and leaving a car at the top before the event.

Everyone is welcome and this event is free for everyone.

Meet at the Wakefield Hotel after the event for hot chips and prize giving.
