Celine’s act is fitting for her large persona and eclectic musical bent. It comprises a mix of self-penned songs and co-labs with old friend Michael O’Dempsey, who will join Celine at Yaza, along with a rare appearance from her guitarist brother Dylan. Spanning folk, blues, roots and Americana, she also includes covers written by friends, and women such as Maren Morris, Kasey Chambers, Gillian Welch, Brandy Clark, Missy Higgins or Michelle Shocked, with lesser-known compositions from songwriters such as Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, and bluesmen Lloyd Spiegel and C.W. Stoneking.

You can expect to laugh at Celine’s humorous take on some songs, cry at the beautiful ballads and tap your toe to her groove. Celine plays acoustic guitar, occasional bass or ukulele, with a powerhouse vocal performance. She can own the biggest banger, feel the suffering of a blues standard or dial it right back to expose all the sentiment in a ballad, with the charisma and storytelling magnetism to carry even the most sparse song.
