The Garden Tea Party!
Students will immerse in creating for a week, experiencing life as an artist! At the end of the week – a garden party exhibition will showcase creations, giving students a ‘from start to finish’ ‘living as an artist’ experience!
Using the Queens Gardens as inspiration, students will develop various artistic skills. Sketching, painting, composition, perspective, tone and colour will be used. The real and the imagination combined. Three-Dimensional forms created.
Nature revealed, discovered and celebrated in a process that encourages artistic ‘license’. Planet friendly throughout, this class embraces the whakatauki ‘Manaaki whenua, Manaaki taangata, Haere whakamua’ ‘Care for the land, care for the people, so we may go forward’
The focus is on fun techniques while developing creativity and artistic skills
Students work will be showcased in the final exhibition / garden themed tea party
