Art / Painting Classes suitable for all experience levels

In this fun and relaxed class, you will explore various painting techniques, learning the art of starting and finishing your work with confidence. Work in your choice of medium, from paints to pastels, with guidance to develop and extend your unique style.

Each class will commence with a basic introduction to a classic art technique and an example of an artist who used this in their practice. Exploring fundamental art techniques including the use of colour mixing, composition, perspective, negative space, mark making and paint application, along with cheat techniques to help students 'see' their art.

Students are invited to work in a medium of their choice. From pastels, inks and paints through to a mix of each. (If unsure regarding this, your tutor will guide your exploration)

Experimentation will be encouraged. Each class will finish with a brief critique session.

Students with their own source material / subject matter are welcome to use this in class.
