An Anthropological Journey to Central Africa and The Congo Region

Anthropologist Dr Donna Swift is our speaker; she has always been fascinated with the wildlife and cultures found in the lesser-visited corners of the world, but her academic career centred on the hardcore reality of violence in western society.

So after retirement, she decided to go in a different direction and returned to her love of primatology, the anthropological study of primates.
Picking up a camera a few years ago, she began the journey to visit distant relatives in Central Africa and the Congo Region.
Donna shares her intrepid travel through photography, freelance writing and public presentations.

This presentation is just one in her series of adventures, and her photography is available for purchase.
The Charity that Donna has chosen for the entry donations is the Jane Goodall Institute New Zealand.
