No mountain bike park in New Zealand compares to The Gorge. The Gorge MTB Park runs shuttles for an expansive range of trails near Nelson. Its location, nestled against the Richmond Forest Park with views over to Golden Bay, sets you up for a mountain biker paradise. The 70km of trails are graded as having 73% grade 3-4 and the rest grade 5-6. The trails are more technical than the flow but are well signposted, with routes marked to help you find your way down. The revolving shuttles allow plenty of time to make the most of your day. Stay at one of our mountain lodges. There is so much riding for the intermediate rider with room to be challenged, and then there is 'The Dark Side'.

Conditions
It is expected that you will be able to ride a mountain bike off-road on narrow, single-track trails. The minimum age for solo riders is 17 years, but there is no limit for a rider with their parent or Guardian. The Gorge reserves the right to cancel any shuttle day or accommodation package for any reason that it deems fit. Riders booked on these days can transfer their booking to another day.
Cancellation Policy
Refunds are not available within 7 days of cancellation. Gift vouchers can be offered or rescheduled booking. The Gorge reserves the right to cancel any shuttle day or accommodation package for any reason that it deems fit (could be but not limited to fire and natural hazards or operational incidents). Riders booked on these days will be allowed to transfer their booking to another day or get a refund. We will give as much notice as possible.

Weather Considerations
If its hot bring sun block, if it scold bring a warm jacket, if it is wet bring a rain coat.
