The Huangshi Chinese Garden is connected with Queens Gardens via a Rainbow Bridge, signifying the uniting relationship between Nelson City and Huangshi in China.

Featuring a walled entryway filled with latticework patterns of camelias, peonies and butterflies, a beautiful commemoration to China is visible in every corner of the gardens. In the centre, a pond flows freely from a waterfall, whilst the pavilion overlooking the pond is a great place to relax and enjoy the peace and serenity that this garden emanates.

The pavilion is made from genuine Chinese roofing tiles sourced directly from Hubei Province, and the upturned roof is based on ancient Chinese design principles.
