The beach at Ligar Bay borders the edge of Tata Beach in Golden Bay and is strikingly similar to the beaches you’ll find along the coastline of the Abel Tasman National Park.

The golden sand beach is largely sheltered by an inlet and offers great, safe swimming at high tide. When the water is out, kids will have hours of fun splashing around in the rockpools, collecting shellfish, kayaking and swimming, whilst BBQ areas and an absence of motorised water sports offers the perfect setting for adults to relax.
