Under new ownership for 2026, locals John and Jane are bringing their signature warmth, creativity, and community spirit to The Moutere. With a legacy built through Rabbit Island Huts, Rabbit Island Coffee, Alberta’s Māpua, and Hothouse, they’re continuing their passion for creating authentic experiences grounded in hospitality, connection, and a deep love for our region.
Beef + Lamb NZ Ambassador Chef Alistair Forster and his talented team have joined The Moutere as well, bringing a fresh energy to our food offering. Over the coming months, guests can expect the menu to evolve as we settle in, with a focus on thoughtful seasonal dishes, local flavours, and special occasion set menus designed to bring people together.
