People who love to eat and drink will be in heaven here. In Nelson Tasman, if people can’t find something they want they make it themselves – usually very successfully and sometimes with such success it becomes an internationally-exported product (such as Pic’s Peanut Butter).
Wine, beer, cider, kombucha, seafood, cheese, mushrooms, chocolate – we have award-winning producers of all these products in our region and we’re very happy to give you a taste of all of it at our many outstanding cafes, restaurants and cellar doors.
Nelson Tasman is the heart of commercial hop growing in New Zealand so it’s no surprise that breweries flourish here. Winemakers also thrive and welcome visitors from all around the world to taste the result of their dedication to their craft and the respect for the land in which their vines are planted.
