Situated in the hills that backdrop the stunning Kaiteriteri Beach, and offering epic views over the Abel Tasman National Park, the Kaiteriteri Mountain Bike Park is the place to find a network of trails that are just as spectacularly diverse as the views.

From the wide, smooth and gentle terrain of Easy Rider to the bermed flowy downhill of Swamp Monster, the tight descending switch-backs of Half-Pipe to the rooty sections of Tree Hugger, right through to the adrenaline-fuelled challenge of Rockface, you’ll find something here to suit all ages and abilities.

Built by riders for riders, the native bush and hilly terrain of the Kaiteriteri Mountain Bike Park contains 25 trails to sink your wheels into, including a few that connect with Tasman’s Great Taste Trail. The Great Taste Trail spans a whopping 174km and is one of New Zealand’s Great Rides. The section between Motueka and Kaiteriteri passes breweries, vineyards, orchards and artisans, and is a great option for an afternoon ride – finishing up in the mountain-bike park to burn off any leftover energy you may have.

How to get there: Just before you descend to the stunning golden sands of Kaiteriteri Beach, you’ll see the entrance to the Mountain Bike Park along Martin Farm Road.
