For anything (and yes, we mean anything) you want to know about the extraordinary Nelson Tasman region, ask one of the friendly locals behind the desk at the Nelson i-SITE. The i-SITE team is surprisingly diverse, and speak many languages, but they do have one important thing in common and that is that they call Nelson Tasman their home. The region is their playground, so we really mean it when we say that there’s no one better placed to help you plan your trip or answer your burning questions!
The Nelson i-SITE is a one-stop shop for discovering the best activities and accommodation for visitors and locals to experience, not only within the Nelson Tasman region, but also around New Zealand. The team of experienced travel professionals can provide advice and information and even make bookings on your behalf, for everything from activities, to accommodation, to transport and event tickets. The best part? Their expert advice is free!
You’ll be spoilt for choice at the i-SITE with a selection of over 100 things to see and do, places to stay, heritage and cultural activities to enjoy, walking and cycling tracks, and the best options for retail information. You will also find plenty of maps and brochures to learn about the best of what the region has to offer (as well as a selection of local artisan products to take home as souvenirs or gifts). The extensive IBIS and Bookit reservation system allows the team to access online real time inventory and make bookings for you in any part of New Zealand (covering a whopping 80 destinations that are part of the countries i-SITE network).
The i-SITE is located at the Millers Acre complex in the Millers Acre Carpark and is co-located with the Department of Conservation’s Regional Information Centre. The knowledgeable and friendly teams at both centres can add value to your Nelson Tasman experience, and provide you with all the information and assistance you need to make your visit a memorable one.
