Kaiteriteri & Marahau

Located at the southern end of the Abel Tasman National Park, Kaiteriteri and Marahau are both gateways to the park.

Kaiteriteri and Marahau offer a range of accommodation options including a motor camp and motels. Enjoy a meal at one of the local cafes as you plan, or reminisce about, your time in this spectacular region. Kaiteriteri is renowned for its stunning golden sands and blue-green waters.

Spend the day here swimming and soaking up the sun or hire a mountain bike to explore the trails of the Kaiteriteri Mountain Bike Park. Many water taxis and larger boats depart from here to take you into the park. Marahau has a lovely beach and vast tidal estuary as well a co-operative art gallery.

Catch a boat into the Abel Tasman National Park, or if you prefer to go by foot you can walk the Abel Tasman Coastal Track. Pack a picnic and enjoy a day in the bush and on the many beaches.
