New community manager joins the Mahitahi Colab

The Mahitahi Colab is excited to welcome Sinead Ogilvie as its new Community Manager. Her role is to form and communicate the networks and resources available through the Mahitahi Colab to better help local founders, entrepreneurs and managers find what they need to innovate and scale-up in business. Mahitahi Colab is now more than a physical collaboration hub, it is the growth centre of innovation in Nelson.
Sinead is currently mapping the regions' innovation ecosystem - so if you visit Mahitahi Colab physically or digitally you'll be able to navigate your way through the resources and service providers that are relevant to your business. Feedback from the business community has been that it can be difficult to navigate the many great resources and service providers available to founders and entrepreneurs in our region. The eco-system mapping will clearly identify the wealth of providers and resources aimed specifically and business development and growth.
You'll also find events specifically designed to inspire and equip you with skills tailored to the life-cycle stage your business is in. If your organisation is one that provides business with development opportunities or capital, you will be able to collaborate with Mahitahi Colab to input your events into the calendar.
One of the most exciting projects Sinead is currently working to bring to life at Mahitahi Colab is a student business consultancy. A collaboration with NMIT, this will see the business community access student talent directly through Mahitahi Colab. The best of the best students will be accessible for a range of research projects out of this consultancy, giving talent real-world opportunities and experiences from businesses looking for fresh perspective.
