Edouard WAMEJO, (GULAAN) began his career as an artist and multi-instrumentalist singer with the release of his first album, BYNETY, on 8 September 1994. Since then, he has released 15 albums with nearly 200 songs, which he wrote, composed and performed.
Originally from the island of Maré in New Caledonia, he is a talented guitarist with a unique arpeggio style. His talent was recognised when he was selected for The VOICE France in 2018, when all four judges turned around to select him.
That is why, to celebrate his 30-year career, he is touring the Pacific islands with a musical show entitled PASIFIKA ME SASO, ‘uniting the people of the Pacific Ocean around shared traditional and cultural values’. By sharing his music with other artists from the Pacific, GULAAN is forging bonds of spirit and heart between people.
