The Nelson Marlborough Lean Cluster network group are an innovative mix of people and businesses who are focusing on delivering business value through Lean initiatives.

The network is designed to bring Lean practitioners together to facilitate the sharing of Lean experiences and learning, and to enhance fresh, clever thinking at the heart of the regions business community.

We know many practitioners like to hear from others who are succeeding and experiencing challenges in their own Lean Management implementation, and that's exactly where the Nelson Marlborough Lean Cluster comes in. Designed to bring together those with a desire to drive the long-term sustainability of our regional businesses, the group focuses on collaboration, networking and idea sharing to enhance shared and individual outcomes.

The power of networking groups and cross business sharing is hugely valuable to the continuous improvement process and the Lean community is a great one to be a part of.  For more information or to sign up, please contact Mark Maguire (Regional Business Partner) on 03 744 6561 Ext 2028 or via the email link below.

What is a cluster?

What is a cluster?

A Lean Cluster is an effective way for businesses to receive support for their Lean improvement work from peers, and usually involves a group of engaged Lean practitioners coming together to share their learnings on a regular basis. The Nelson Marlborough Lean Cluster is facilitated and coordinated by the Nelson Regional Development Agency, with meetings being held a few times a year at varying host businesses.

Businesses are encouraged to send a minimum of two people and can send a maximum of four to each meeting (numbers may vary depending on the host businesses health & safety requirements). Each business will also be required to host a meeting, which involves providing a meeting room, presenting, catering and leading a Gemba walk of their own facility.
